A BIG THANKS! to everyone involved in the SIMON CHAINSAW - PLAY LOUD GO DEAF
FASTER - EUROPEAN TOUR 2016!!
The tour was a great success!! And it was great to meet
up with old friends amd make new ones! We played 19 shows in 21 days in France,
Italy, Switzerland and Germany. Unfortunately we had to cancel 1 show in the
Czech Repubilic due to logistical reasons... but we'll be back there next year
for sure!
So a huge thanks to the guys in the band without whom there would be no show!
They played hard and tight night after night and took the long drives in their
stride!

Cowabunga... who was behind the wheel and got us all around Europe safely
without even 1 white knuckle moment!! Great Job!!
We drove about 8,400 kms in 21 days with just 2 days off... one of which had a 9
hour drive!! so really just 1 real day off...
Also Thanks to all the venues and bars we played at! Special mention to Muttis
Booking Buro in Germany and Corner Stone in Italy, Peg at GPS Productions in
Switzerland and Iggy Stoner in France.
There has been a bunch of videos uploaded to Youtube from the live shows from
this tour... just search Simon Chainsaw and scroll.. you'll find them. But I

It was a full house but the guy filming was right at the front of the stage to
catch all the action! The vision and sound is exceptionally good for these kind
of live videos! It's not the complete gig, but it's 22 mins long and most of the
songs are represented... check it out!
Also a special mention to the mystery man who drove 100kms to see us in
Hildesheim, bought about 3 copies of everything we had (CDs, Vinyl & shirts).
THANKS!! Unfortunately he left before we could meet and sign his discs!!
There were too many highlights on the tour to mention all... but just a few at
the top of my mind were the sold out and near full house shows in Perigueux,
Geneva, Erba and Hildesheim, driving through the Swiss Alps, visiting the
Ramones Museum, finally playing at Wild at Heart, Berlin and Sonic Ballroom,
Koln. Being a tourist when possible and checking out the old castles, churches
and cities, Salmon lasanha at Yohan's mums house, Green Thai Curry at Sonic
Ballroom, Chilli con Carne at Chekov's, and having 3 seats to myself on the
flight home (priceless!)... so I could just lie down and sleep the whole flight!
I was truly humbled by the way I was welcomed and the respect I received from
all the venues, everyone involved with the shows and the fans I met. Thanks to
you all!
We plan to do it all again next year!! ... more or less same time.
